MINUTES

MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OAKE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON

TUESDAY 17 TH NOVEMBER 2009 AT OAKE & DISTRICT HALL

PRESENT: Cllrs. C.W.Bishop, D. Price, P. Coles, A. Dyke ,J. Paul, G. Gill and the Clerk.

PUBLIC QUESTION TIME:    None

APOLOGIES:   Cllr. D. Roots.

MINUTES: The Minutes of the meeting held on the 13 th October were signed as being a correct record.

MATTERS ARISING:

Police Report: There had been a police chase that ended at Fourways at Hillcommon, with the arrest of four males. Also a report of a male hit by buck shot from two males shooting in a field at Hillfarrance. Both the farmer and the males have been spoken to.

Adopt a phone box: nothing further to report.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:

Funding for computer room: It was agreed that a cheque to drawn for £200.
Precept : The half yearly figures were presented and it was agreed by all that the precept be raised this year by £250 thereby asking for a figure of £4750.
Lighting: A member of the public had contacted Highways to seek more lighting in Hillcommon, as nothing further has been heard the Parish Council will not be involved.
Planning Training: The training due to take place on the 25 th November will not now happen until the 17 th February.

PLANNING:   

/0020 Erection of Horticultural Nursery to include poly tunnel and construction of access at land south of Harris’s Farm, Hillcommon ( to replace extant permission 27/06/0015).

There were no objections to this application.

Construction of a new single storey 5 classroom building, school wildlife area, car park and had play area. Plus temporary relocation of a classroom unit, plus ancillary works. Oake & Bradford School.

Cllr’s. were happy with the application but remain concerned about the lack of parking for parents dropping off and collection children from the school.

There were no objections to this application.
