MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OAKE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY 22 nd MARCH 2005 AT OAKE & DISTRICT HALL
PRESENT: P.Aldenhoven, D. Price, Mrs. I. King, R. Shaw, J. Paul and the Clerk
PUBLIC QUESTION TIME:
APOLOGIES: Cllr. C. Bishop and Cllr. P. Coles.
In the absence of the Chairman the Vice Chairman Cllr. Mrs. King took the meeting.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the meeting held on the 8th February were signed as being a correct record.
MATTERS ARISING:
Safety Barrier: Highways say this will be done in the next financial year.
Affordable Housing: As yet there has been no feed back from the Community Council to the questionnaires sent round.
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:
Footpath Diversion Order has been made which will divert T18/21 starting at a stile and running in a generally east south-eastward direction for approximately 140m to the junction of footpath T18/22 near Webb Hill Farm.
- Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill. This Bill will play a key role in Government’s plan to create cleaner, safer, greener communities. Copies were issued to all Councillors.
- Standards Board Consultations are taking place over the next months on the areas of the Code that would benefit from change and to gather ideas about how that change could be achieved. The deadline for response is 17 th June.
- Save our Countryside This information may be viewed on their website.
- Gypsies and travellers Taunton Deane have responded to the Deputy Prime Minister, a copy of their letter may be viewed by contacting the Clerk. The Parish Council thought their views fair.
- Calor Village of the Year As a regional winner of the IT Section last year Oake are not eligible to enter this year.
- Bus Users Surgery Cllr. Paul agreed to visit the surgery on Thursday and give the Councils views on the services.
PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
- Erection of two Storey extension at 4 Bridge Cottage. Oake
There were no objections to this application provided materials used are in keeping with existing. Proposed Cllr. Aldenhoven, Seconded Cllr. Price
- Erection of Two Storey Extension to replace existing store and utility room at Rendy Farm, Oake
Cllr. Aldenhoven proposed we support this application, again provided materials used are in keeping. All agreed.
- Erection of Extension at rear of Meadow View/Hill View, Blagroves Road, Hillcommon.
There were no objections to this application, materials to match existing. Proposed Cllr. Aldenhoven, seconded Cllr. Paul.
PLANNING PERMISSION had been received for:
- Demolition of Garage. Erection on New Garage and Extension at Rear of Sundown, Oake.
- Erection of Two Storey Extension at Oake Marsh Farmhouse. Oake.
