MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OAKE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY 12TH JULY 2005 AT OAKE & DISTRICT HALL.

PRESENT: Cllrs. C. Bishop, R. Shaw, P. Coles, D. Price, J. Paul, David Greig (Parish Liaison Officer) and the Parish clerk.

PUBLIC QUESTION TIME - None

APOLOGIES: Cllrs. P. Aldenhoven and Mrs. I. King

MINUTES: The Minutes of the meeting held on the 21st June were signed as being a correct record.

MATTERS ARISING
Affordable Housing:
Investigations are still taking place.
Safety Barriers: The Barrier near the Post Office has now been erected.
School Barrier: This has been referred to SCC
Trees: Mrs. O. Maggs. We have been given to understand that two trees have already been planted in the Village Hall grounds.
Vehicle Speeds: The 'Road Policing Unit' have promised to carry out 'speed enforcement as and when operational commitments allow'. The clerk will also contact PC Mark Jones at Wellington to ask him to explain the Communituy Speed watch Initiative.
Oake & Bradford School childdren have all written letters to the Chairman of the Parish Council asking that we do all we can to get a 20 mph limit in the area of the school, also to see if a barrier can be erected outside their school gateway. The childrens' petitions are to be forwarded to Ian Titcumbe of SCC with copies to Cllr. Caroline Smeaton.
Community Access Fund: The Footpaths Officer at SCC to be asked to return our copies of the circular walks with notes of any concerns they may have.
New Local Development Framework: This is to be circulated for Cllr's comments next month. Cllrs were given a leaflet regarding this.
Statement of Community Involvement: This to be circulate for Cllr's comments next month.
Electoral Review of TDBC Wards: As far as TD were concerned the Bradford ward would remain the same, however the document is now being submitted to the Government.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION
Request for support from Marie Curie Care
It was proposed by Cllr. Paul, seconded by Cllr. Shaw that a cheque be raised next month for £25

PLANNING
Erection of First Floor Extension, Mill Leat, Hillfarrance.
It was proposed that the Parish Council Support this application but would ask TD to look into the question of the property to the east being overlooked.
