MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OAKE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY 13 TH JANUARY 2009 AT OAKE & DISTRICT HALL
PRESENT: Cllrs. C. Bishop, G. Gill, D. Price, A. Dyke, J. Paul, P. Coles, the Clerk and David Greig.

MINUTES: The Minutes of the meeting held on the 8 th December were signed as being a correct record.
MATTERS ARISING:
Oake & Bradford School: The Statutory Notice was being displayed at the school and in the Parish Council Notice board. Any comments should be made within six weeks, the County will then confirm and it will then go to the Secretary of State.
Hillfarrance Green: The documents held have been passed to the Land Registry..
ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:
Play Area: Taunton Deane Leisure Officers will be attending a joint meeting with the Parish Council and Oake & District Hall committee on Thursday 19 th February are 7.00 pm in the hall to discuss grants/funding for a play area and equipment.
Police Report: Three road traffic accidents had occurred in the parish, no injuries. Also a number of phone calls had been received about cars getting caught in the floods on the 13 th December. If you wish to contact Jon McAteer our PCSO his mobile 07717700663.
Speed Indicator Devices: One has been set up at Hillcommon (eastbound) and will remain in place for two weeks, later in the month another will be set up (westbound).
PLANNING:
27/08/0035AGN Erection of a secure store for agricultural machinery on land to north east of Higher Knapp Farm, Hillfarrance.
Agricultural application now approved.
27/08/0036/LB Recovering of the pitched and flat roof areas, inclusive of some insulation enhancement, renewal of above ground rainwater disposal system, and below ground disposal to soakaways, the repair and partial replacement of windows, rooflight renewal, exterior redecoration, masonry repair work, conversion of first floor store area into en-suite shower room with lobby (dressing room), alteration and refurbishment of the kitchen/utility area, infill of opening to west side of basement and installation of new boiler flue, all at Blagroves Farm, Oake.
There were no objections to this application provided the Conservation Officer is in agreement with it. Proposed G. Gill, seconded J. Paul all agreed.
27/08/0031 Change of use of Chapel to residential unit at The Old Chapel, Hillcommon (resubmission of 27/2008/024)
It was agreed to support this application, proposed D. Price, seconded P. Coles, all agreed.
