MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OAKE PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY
9 TH AUGUST 2005 AT OAKE & DISTRICT HALL

PRESENT: Cllrs. C. Bishop, R. Shaw, P. Coles, D. Price, J. Paul, P Aldenhoven and the Clerk .

PUBLIC QUESTION TIME:  None

APOLOGIES: Cllr. Mrs. I. King.

MINUTES: The Minutes of the meeting held on the 12 th July were signed as being a correct record.

MATTERS ARISING:

Affordable Housing:  Nothing further to report.

Vehicle Speeds: The petitions handed in by Oake & Bradford School children for a 20 mph limit past the school were sent to S.C.C.   Their reply listed the criteria used to prioritise schools for consideration for a 20 mph speed limit. The procedures allocate scores, multiplied by a weighing factor, to seven risk areas, as a result of this they inform us that Oake School is ranked 196.

Community Access Fund:   The Footpaths Officer has confirmed that the circular walks submitted by Oake will be published sometime in the future.

New Local Development Framework: All Councillors had read the document but had no comments to make.

Statement of Community Involvement: The Chairman advised that a letter be sent regarding items 5.5 and 5.6 under the planning section. It is felt that this is overly complicated and doesn’t really convey the proposals that require the applicant to carry out his own ‘community involvement’ before submitting an application.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION:

Audit:  This has now been successfully completed and a notice posted to that effect.

PLANNING:
